ActewAGL ActewAGL was formed in October 2000 as a joint venture between the Australian Gas Light Company and the ACTEW Corporation. ActewAGL is the first multi-utility company in Australia to offer electricity, natural gas, water and wastewater services.
AGL One of Australia's leading energy companies, AGL draws on 169 years of experience. AGL supplies around 3.6 million customer accounts across Australia, and has Australia's largest retail energy and dual fuel customer base.
Aurora Energy Aurora Energy is owned by the Tasmanian Government and was formed in July 1998. Aurora Energy is one of two retail gas providers in the state, as well as being the only dual energy retailer.
Country Energy Country Energy manages Australia's largest power supply network across 95% of NSW and is a leading Australian energy services corporation. Owned by the NSW Government, Country Energy is one of Australia's strongest regional businesses and one of Australia's most successful energy retailers.
Energy Australia One of the largest energy suppliers in Australia, Energy Australia provides broad-based energy solutions ranging from electricity and gas to energy management and alternative energies. Energy Australia sells electricity in NSW, ACT, SA, Victoria, and Queensland.
Ergon Energy Ergon Energy provides electricity related services to around 600,000 customers across Queensland. These customers purchase their electricity through the government regulated tariff structure. Ergon Energy's mission is to provide customers with sustainable, quality energy solutions to meet their constantly changing needs.
Horizon Power In April 2006, an independent regional power corporation, Horizon Power, was created by the separation of Western Power into four stand-alone businesses. It services the Pilbara, Kimberley, Gascoyne, Mid West and southern Goldfields (Esperance and Hopetoun) including about 28 towns and isolated communities. It is responsible for generating or procuring, distributing and selling electricity. Horizon Power is owned by the State Government and has its own Board that reports to the Minister for Energy.
Integral Energy Integral Energy is the second largest state-owned energy corporation in NSW originally established to supply electricity to the Western Sydney and Illawarra regions of NSW. They also operate in Queensland. Integral Energy also has over 50 years of experience in managing one of Australia’s largest energy networks. Every day they distribute electricity to over 2.1 million people in households and businesses across 24,500 square kilometres of Greater Western Sydney, the Illawarra, and the Southern Highlands of NSW.
Jackgreen Energy Jackgreen is the only licensed electricity retailed in Australia dedicated to reducing carbon emissions through renewable energy. Every product sold through Jackgreen is accredited by Greenpower. Jackgreen is licensed to sell electricity in NSW, VIC, QLD and SA.
Origin Energy Origin Energy serves over 3 million customers in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. As well as energy retailing, Origin Energy is involved in gas and oil exploration and production, power generation and utility network management.
Power & Water Corp Power and Water is the Northern Territory's premier provider of electricity, water and sewerage services. They are one of the largest businesses in the Northern Territory with assets in excess of $1.2 billion and 750 employees. They operate generation facilities across the Northern Territory, using gas, diesel, solar and combined technologies.Power and Water owns eight minor power stations dedicated to smaller townships at Borroloola, Daly Waters, Elliott, Kings Canyon, Newcastle Waters, Timber Creek, Ti Tree and Yulara. The corporation also operates 68 remote community power stations, largely diesel powered.
Queensland Electricity Queensland Electricity is an electricity retailer licensed by the State Government and is committed to offering competitive electricity rates.
Red Energy RedEnergy are an Australian owned and operated energy retailer based in Melbourne, with over 200 employees. RedEnergy started in April 2004 supplying renewable hydro-electricity sourced from the Snowy Hydro Electricity Scheme to residential and business customers in Victoria. Since then the company has expanded into South Australia and now also sell gas in Victoria. As a customer of RedEnergy, you can choose from a variety of flexible energy plans to suit your needs e.g. loyalty credits, tree growing initiative; Be rewarded with discounts for paying your bill on time and Help do your bit for the environment by supporting renewable energy at no extra cost.
Simply Energy Simply Energy sells electricity and gas to retail customers in Victoria and South Australia and is one of Australia's largest energy suppliers. Previously known as Energy Australia in those states, Simply Energy is now owned by International Power Australia, the largest private generator of electricity in the country.
South Australia Electricity South Australia Electricity is an electricity retailer licensed by the State Government and is committed to offering competitive electricity rates.
